1996 GMC V8 engine misfire problem

Asked by GuruC9VVG Feb 01, 2019 at 10:15 AM about the 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 K1500 SLT 4WD Standard Cab Stepside SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a '96 GMC with a 305 V8. It has a misfire problem (code is 0300) that I
haven't been able to fix. Everything I know of has been replaced related to
this problem. New - plugs, wires, distributor, tranny speed sensor. coolant
sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, camshaft sensor, & ECM re-
flashed. The tranny was rebuilt too. It still misfires, usually at about 1500 rpm
at about 50mph. It's driving me crazy - my mechanic don't know what else to
do. Any thought?
