How do you put a 1995 305 engine back in time, the timing chain jumped a cog. After the
removing the timimg chain, the crankshaft got turned, not sure how much. but the
distributor is off by at least by  a quarter turn.  Thanks Jerry

You need to get the #1 piston set to tdc ,Basically what you do is when you line up your timing marks you make sure that you are compressing #1 cylinder when you turn over the engine,also the rotor will be pointing to the #1 wire on your distributor cap .You have to un derstand that your camshaft turns 2 turns to 1 turn of the crank,so you possibly could be off 180 degs
