Not sure what's wrong with our 93 Sierra

We lost two wheel drive, we were driving in
two wheel drive an heard a low clunk an lost
drive. So he put it in four wheel drive an it
worked so we drove it a few blocks back
home. What could be wrong with it? Four
wheel everything works. Two wheel nothing
works.

Your rear pinion gear probably sheared off and is laying in the bottom of the axle casing if not there are problems with the transfer case
