Overheating

I have changed radiator cap, radiator, water
houses, thermostat, I don't see any leaks, don't
hear any noise and keeps overheating. I removed
the thermostat. And is ok. But my check engine
light comes on.

Had you ben purging the cooling system of the air pockets once you refilled the cooling system? If not try purging the cooling system.

Try bleeding air from system like this remove cap from overflow tank fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle you will notice level in tank start to rise this is normal once thermostat starts to open level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back on.
Have you figured it out? I’m currently on the side of the road with this problem. Spent over $1500 getting brand new parts and STILL OVERHEATS!

I'm having the same issue as the guy who made this ordinal post. I'm on the side of the road. We added oil, coolant, ran the air bubbles out of the coolant pumps n' what not. Replaced the radiator fan clutch, and the thermostat. I'm on the side of the road 45 min from home n' really need to get it fixed somehow. We didn't see any leaks anywhere. It sounds like a fan is trying way too hard to work though!
i have change out everything on my 2006 envoy xl 4.2 liter and its still overheating and i really dont no why it keeps running hot on me please help

I had a problem were the thermostat wouldn't fully open caused it to run hot when it was hot outside!

I have replaced everything like others. Saw on youtube to remove abttery terminals for up to an hour. I did this and my problem is solved. I can drive sometimes for over a 1,00 miles before my temp quage goes to zero and the radiator fans come on and dash says engine overheated and ac turned off. This has happened to me sometimes at engine start up during the winter when ac is not on and engine stone cold. The engine control module is suspect of having a problem and removing the battery terminals resets it and i am good for a while. As i do not want to spend the money to replace the module i will continue to do this. I have been doing this at least 10 times a year for two years now on 2014 gmc yukon xl with 217,00 miles on it.
