Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I have a 91 Ranger XLT 2.3L 4 Cyl. About a week ago i was driving somewhere and when i went to pull off a side street the truck started to jerk and shake and when i hit the gas nothing happened then it died. I was able to start it again and it was doing the same thing which kinda feels like a misfire but at least on 2 of the cylinders. Please help i don't know if it is a timing issue or what.

check the timing... its a belt so it may have slipped a tooth or 2
