I have a Dodge Grand caravan 2003 the engine light just came on took it to auto zone code po1776 showed up they told me it my tcm need to be replaced!!! is this a good thing to replaced it or is it time for a new car ????

the TCM is the Transmission Computer ...u can buy it for 120$ online and the labor fee won't cost u tha much....but before u do so u just need to make sure it's really needs to be replaced bcuz my friend had the same issue with his 07 dodge caliber .and auto zone told him the same thing..but I went to look at the car nd saw there is a jack connected in to the transmission I just pulled it out nd cleaned it nd put back so the light went off nd the transmission too start working normally ..
