What could becausing my problem

Got a 2000 Grand caravan
3.0 6cyc. Had a slight skip
between 35 and 55 mph.
Then engine light came
on;rpm went up while I
excelirated. Drove about a
mile turned engine off. Now
will not start. Please help!
