Why does it look like have very little coolant
after I put some in for my 2005 pt cruiser
convertible?

When you fill the cooling system after working on it the system has to purge. This means air escapes while filling. Fill to the top and set the heater on high. Crank the can and let it idle after it reaches normal operating temp fill to the full mark.
