Lost my key to my 03 pt crusier

We replaced the whole steering column now i
noticed my reverse 24th lights are on while in park.
The car wont turn over at all. Also should i have
gotten the computer with that steering column

Probably the new switch needs to be paired with the system in the car to be recognized by the computer. I had that situation when I changed the switch in my car and ended up having to take it to dealer to pull the codes required, it cost me around $300.00. Maybe another Guru knows of a better and cheaper way to do it and answers your question.
