2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser CA Smog test

I took my 2002 PT in to get a smog check for registration. It PASSED on ALL
areas but would not put a FINAL PASS in order to go to DMV for registration
and plates. 1 other mechanic and 2 other Smog stations checked it with the
same results. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! PS: one of the mechanics said that he thinks it's a pin situation
where you plug in the DMV tester. So, I have no clue. Thanks :)

Need to know what codes if any are set. If the data port is damaged they won't be able to get a proper reading.

Is there more than one port under there? Would the same port be used for the codes and the smog check test? If so then would it still read the code finder thing if there is an issue with the pins in the port? Can i replace the car's port and/or harness situation? Do I have to go through a dealer for the OEM part(s) or is there an aftermarket or other options available? Thanks!
