I cant accelerate while in drive

Today while driving home my car was doing fine
and then it suddenly started jumping forward. I
was in an area with a lot of speed bumps and was
going below 25mph. A few seconds later i tried to
accelerate and the car wasnt responding,  i can not
get to car to move at all in drive but i can move
very slowly in reverse. I have a 2005 ford tarus. Any
suggestions?

First thing would be check the transmission fluid,if fluid is good and full,if your engine light is on,you may need to have it scanned to show the issue,but it sounds like the transmission may be the issue,check the fluid,then have car scanned for issue.
