I have an 05 Ford explorer I was wanting to know if the
headlights and taillights will go into an 06 Ford ranger

First, you're moving from OBDI to ONDII, and any interchangeability is likely not to work. If you're talking about lamp assemblies and not just bulbs, they are completely different.
