jump started backwards 2003 ford explorer now cranks over no start

battery was dead from car sitting few months not starting.put battery charger on near dark out and had cable backwards when hitting boost.after seeing ark swapped back correct left charging on 2 amp trickle two days than when trying to start. cranks over no start seeing in message center check charging system

Electricity travels at the speed of light (186,000 mi/sec) and that's a whole lot faster then you can get to those cables /// If it was only for a brief period you could have just blown a fuse ...any longer and look for "Krispy Kritters"

Check the voltage of the battery with a multi-meter. If less than 12 volts that may be the problem. Computer components to not react well when polarity is reversed.
