What module did you replace and why? Was it the gem? Is it a new part or new to you? You state that it's stuck in 4low then that's not in 4wd at all, which is it? Have you put the trans in neutral and set the brake while trying to shift out of 4low?

the cm for the 4 wheel drive. because there was no 4 wheel drive. it was a new unit. I dont know what the gem is. it is in 4 low can only go 30 mph at 2000rpm the 4x4 low light is on, but i can spin the right rear tire on snow without trying very hard. I tried neutral shifting, reverse shifting forward shifting, disconnecting the battery. still stuck in 4low. bob

The gem is the module behind the radio drivers side. If it won't shift out of 4wd you can take the motor off of the rear of the transfer case and manually shift it with some pliers, it has markings that will show you where the pointed end of the triangle should be aimed. When you see it you will know what I'm talking about, the motor is about beer can sized and has an L bracket on the end and is held on by 10mm bolts. Once removed and the transfer case is shifted manually leave the shift motor off but plugged in long enough to try using the vehicles 4wd controls to get it realigned before reinstalling it on the transfer case.

The 4wd module that is behind the glovebox will give diagnostic codes that can help with the proper repair of the system.
