blew radio out

I replaced my battery and somehow tried to hook it up backwards and when the
positive cable hit the negative terminal - sparks flew and it wasn't love! All is
well now but radio not working - have replaced the 5a fuse per manual but still
no radio ...what else could it be???

If you only blew the radio, be thankful. Electronic parts to not respond kindly when electrical polarity is reversed. Remove the radio and check for voltage at the plug for the radio. If present, you probably have to purchase a new radio, as fixing a car radio is usually more expensive than purchasing a new one. If no power is present, you'll have to do a wire trace to see if you burnt/shorted out a wire.

    This affects both the air and heat. but only affects the ones close to the radio ie not the windshield nor back seat area.
