Take the VIN number of the vehicle you are looking at to the Ford dealer nearest you and see if it is affected by the recall. They can look up a vehicle to see if the recall has been performed or not, or if an open recall even exists. Know, however, that whether or not Ford has issued a recall for that particular vehicle, the defective switch may be present, and may cause you a problem down the road.
