Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've noticed that there is a mysterious clunking sound underneath of my floorboard while
I'm idling or driving. It doesn't always happen, but when it does it seems to do it more
loudly whenever the truck is vibrating a lot. It's a 5-speed and I've noticed that it starts
making it every time I pull up on the gearshift as well.

Sounds like you have a broken tranny mount or engine mount. If you stomp on the gas, it clunks right? If not a bad mount, check the cross member that the transmission rests upon. The bolts may have backed out.
