My 02 escape is shifting irregularly from 1st to 2nd gear and when it does this the over drive light blinks off and on and then the overdrive is disabled.  I have changed the transmission fluid.  Still doing it, not as bad but its like the shift points have been altered.  any other suggestions as to what the problem could be?

Have this diagnosed by a dealership, it could be a solenoid problem which may require solenoid replacement or a re-flashing of the transmission control module to correct.
