Hi i just bought a used 2006 firered
mustang now i live in buffalo ny so it has a
few rust spots on but i took it threw the car
wash the other day and some paint came
off the hood whats the best way to fix it just
a touch up or re-paint the hood and can i
doit myself or take it to a body shop

depending on the size of the patches that came off it may be able to touch it up, if they are the size of a large stone chip it can be touched up but any bigger than a finger nail i would respray the entire thing. painting is tricky and time consuming and takes a lot of practice/experience to do it properly and make it look good, so i would take it to a body shop for that. to touch up small areas a common thing to use is nail polish that matches your paint color, just try and keep it inside the damaged area as much as possible and not go onto the good paint where possible.
