Can I remove the A/C/ compressor and not replace it?

1993 Probe 2.0 4-cyl with A/C. Compressor needs replacing. If I just remove it, are the other components in the same position as in the non-A/C model? Can I buy the standard non-a/c belt, install it, and forget about A/C?

Yes you can, just make sure its a non A/C acessory belt.

Also make sure the non A/C belt is availible before you remove the compressor.
