Usually fairly simple, remove three or four starter mounting bolts and wire to starter, and remove starter motor and reverse disassembly. However, I suggest getting a Haynes manual for a step by step, photographic how-to, as the Escorts may require other component removal. I have seen where you need to remove exhaust parts, etc., to get at a starter motor.
