Brake lights

Brake lights stopped working when I plugged boat
trailer in connector, fuses all good brake switch
good, stumped two days wasted trying to figure it
out

Did you check fuses and check fuses for voltage using a test light? You may be way ahead of me. As you can see in diagram, the orange wire to stop lamp switch is hot all the time and fuse protected. When the stop switch is activated, the white wire goes hot and carries voltage to those other two fuses, one fuse for lower brake lites and the other fuse for hi-mount brake lite.
