How to diagnos if my transfercase shift motor is broken

4X4 went on my 2003 2500hd sierra 4x4 6.6
turbo diesel..i replace the 4x4 actuator..it
works..tested it..but still truck wont shift into
4x4..4 lo is blinking aswell..i heard a crunch
sound before when i lost 4x4..though maybe
i lost a u joint..but no..so i replaced the
actuator first..so could it be the transfercase
shift motor? If so how do tell ?

Hey. Check ur fluid in the case..if u heard a crunch noise ..its most likely ur tcase is broken..snaped the chain..also if ur 4x4 buttons are blinking its most likely ur ground under ur drivers side door..
