2005 Chevy Silverado ticking

Asked by Jsgthagreat Jan 04, 2019 at 10:44 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is a ticking on the drivers side of the
engine and it seems to happen randomly;
speed is not a determinate, and I have no
idea what it is or whether it is the same as on
the ‘92. I have around 230,000 miles on the
truck and the owner before me took great
care of it, just looking to do the same.

I had a tick also, turned out to be an o-ring for the oil pickup, you wont loose oil pressure just flow to the heads
