2004 silverado power seat front motor goes down not up

Asked by 1964rich Dec 07, 2018 at 10:03 AM about the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Extended Cab 4WD

The drivers side power seat front elevation motor will only work in one direction
|I have checked the switch and power comes off of it in both directions I'm
assuming its not a motor issue as it does wok in one direction so must be a
switching issue does anyone have any suggestions
