Oil pressure sensor filter?

My mechanic replaced oil pressure sensor the new sensor
came with a screen he said my truck didn't have one and the
new one wouldn't go in  but now I don't have any oil pressure
wondering if the filter needs changed?

I'd get that screen out of there , it may have come with the sensor to be used in other vehicles that do have it .

Every tech I know has always took the screen out of the oil sender passage due to it getting crud in it. Remove the screen and see if you then have a pressure reading.
