Heat blowing out with air on.

I havé a 2004 Silverado. I will be going down
the road with the air on and suddenly my
cool air turns got. Does anyone know what
this could be? I have heard it's the actuator
door, control switch, or maybe the ac/heat
contro;l needs to relearn the position.
I don't have the money to trouble shoot by
buying parts and eliminating them. Please
serious, educated answers only. Thanks

Is it hot outside? Are you changing altitude? In my experience, after I did an AC recharge, my AC had too much pressure in it when it got hot outside. This caused the AC condenser to only work about 1/3 of the time and would shut off the other times. It would actuate between hot and cold air. This was a safety feature in my case, which shut off the condenser when too much pressure was at the opening of the line.

Yes it's Alabama heat. 98/99 degrees most of the time. The compressor has to be working hard in this humidity. I can hear some ñoise from the compressor when I turn it on. So if this is my issue, howdo I fix it?
