Making sharp right turn my Traction control kicks on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced the entire
Powersteering system and got all the
wheels aligned. I noticed it right after
I did that, it was fine before. Before
the engine is up to temp (most of the
time), when I make a right turn and
give it a little gas when I'm turning,
the T/C light comes on and you can
hear the brakes grinding and feel the
slight power reduction (for like
3secs). No problems driving straight,
turning left, or turning into corners
(either way). My service T/C and Abs
lights only came on twice and when I
restarted the car it went off. Second,
when I come to a stop turning right,
say into a parking spot, I could feel
the brake pedal vibrate, almost like
stoping on ice.

Thank You!
Jon

Check the speed sensors at the wheel hubs. The system relies on the input from the sensors to determine the T/C and anti lock brake systems. I would start by checking the wires and sensors themselves for any physical damage. If nothing obvious, there may be internal fraying of the conductors within the cable only making the problem apparent while turning causing the cable assembly to twist and bend. New cables and/or sensors may be the solution. The fronts take a lot more abuse due to the constant twisting of the cable due to turning. Below is a typical application of a wheel speed sensor.
