Starter disabled. Car immobilized

Broke key in door lock. Door lock
removed to retrieve piece. Had New
transponder key cut. Tech was
unable to connect to cars system
to code new key. Car totally
immobilized. Please, any thoughts
will be appreciated. Thank you!
