Looking to replace my transmission 2006 Chevy express 3500. I know it's a 4l80e but my mechanic says there are different configurations of the 4l80e I've checked the vindecoder and that is of little help. How can I be sure I am buying the right used transmission?

Most shops will rebuild them for around $900 if you’re taking it out and putting it in go in that direction trans will last longer! Any used trans I got always left me stranded eventually! Some times you get lucky though!
