i lost the key to my explorer and i was wondering if i would be able to break the ignition so i can start the veh without the key. I dont want the column tore up but if i have to i will
any u way you look at it you will have to take the covers off of the steering column, normally u can pull the ignition out but without the key that cant be done, the column is easy to take aprt though
If you start cutting wires you will never get it to run right again. It will cut off jsut driving down the street or it will shut off when you adjust the sterring column up or down. You can get a replacement key cylinder from Autozone or Advance for 50. It is easy to replace, and much easier than hotwiring a car. Not that i would know anything about hotwiring anything...
IF U GO TO FORD AND TAKE PROF U OWN IT AND HAVE THE VIN# THAY CAN GET U A KEY KEY IS CHIPPED 4 YOUR TRUCK.
1994's didnt come with a chipped key yet, the chipped keys didnt start till 1998
