2007 Toyota Camry SE 6 cyl electrical issues and blowing out headlight bulbs

Having electrical problems. Installed new battery and alternator

What next?

As soon as the mechanic started the car, the headlights blew out. I couldn't
afford any more at that time, so I just brought it home and thought since I
was an old lady that I wasn't taken seriously.  I told the guy all my dashboard
lights and headlights would
go off and come back on; dim and go dimmer and he told me he would
check it out.
Maybe this won't even be seen by anyone, but I am hopeful.

He did not offer to fix it or diagnose the problem? WOW! Either the alternator is bad and putting out too much voltage or he screwed something up. Make him fix it on his own time. Threaten to call the state consumer affairs office on him if he won't fix it. I don't think you owe him a dime. He also owes you for the head lights.
