Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I remove the old transmission shifter cable
where it goes through the rubber grommet in the
firewall on my 2006 Toyota Camry with a 2.4

The new cable should have a new grommet already on it. Use pliers or a similar tool to pull the old grommet out of the firewall. Feed the new cable through the hole in the firewall then press the new grommet into the hole. Hope that helps! Jim
