how to get into trunk with dead battery

You have to go threw the back seat. They should pull down, then get inside the trunk and pull the safety release to open.

The battery jump box was in the trunk as there is no space on the rear seat. I read the manual. It instructed me to lift the carpet covering in the center lower console of the car. Under the fabric of the lower console, there was a pull cable that opened the trunk. The fabric was a little stuck but finally came up allowing me to view the cable.
