Brakess

Asked by Guru1GVFY Oct 04, 2019 at 05:21 PM about the 2008 Lexus RX 350 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 RX 350 with 225000 miles on it. The lexus dealer my front and rear brakes need to be replaced. But said due to age and mileage they would have to rebuild the bakes on front and back at cost of $1500.  Why would they need to rebuild instead of just putting on new brakes?

Pads and rotors should do it if the brakes work properly now. Change the brake fluid if you have not done so in the past.
