Fix the troubles and you will pass inspection. Turning off the light does NOTHING AT ALL. The light is simply the messenger.

F O R is right getting the light to go off with out fixing problem is not going to work because computer saves code even if you get the light to stay off to go through inspection when they hook up to computer at inspection it still will show code or codes stored in computer.

My RX330 failed smog check because of the lights. I took the battery cable off for 24 hrs, solved the track off light issue, then brought it back to smog check technician. It passed everything except memory loss so my technician recommended to run for another week. After a week the lights still didn't turn on so I brought it back for a final smog check. My car passed! And btw, the lights have not turned on for almost 2 years now.
