Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had battery cables off for 5 months when away.  Quick charged battery,
reconnected, car starts and idled for 5 minutes.  Turned off and an hour
later turned it on and drove around 5 minutes.   Parked car, turned off,
flashers on for 10 minutes.Car buzzed and clicked and went dead. Would
not turn over 2nd time.  Bought new battery, installed it and car makes no
noise and doesn't respond. the interior lights, locks do not work, locks don't
work, dash has no lights.  .

Battery cable issue either at the battery or the starter. Could also be a ground issue. Look very closely at all the battery and starter connections.

If the battery connections are clean then your battery may just be dead. How old is the battery? Do a complete charge over night and then try it or take in into an auto parts store for testing,
