1997 lexus ls 409 trans issue

My car will go into and engage in any gear on a comd start
but a couole miles into your drive it'll slowly rev and act as
if in neutral.   You canncut the car off,gice it a crank and
make it a few more miles. Mechanically inclined but
stumped here. A3041e trans

Same thing happened to our 06 honda civic we replaced the clutch drives just fine now only problemis the speedometer doesnt work. Trying to figure that issue out now. Hope this helps.
