I have a 95 Ford Taurus GL 3.8L. I know, try not to laugh. The tranmission gave out. Its was making wierd noises in the transmision about two weeks prior. I only have 1st gear for a coulpe of seconds

When I turn it on, it only gives me 1st
gear then after that, it does not move
at all. Then I cut it off and then on
and same thing happen. I would like
your opinion before i get a 'mechanic
to look at it. Thanks

I know all that. But it has sentimental value. I'm hoping its the torque converter or something cheep
