Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've seen other questions state that the gas cap is the issue on this one, but
when  drive it seems the car cannot get up a hill or it takes time to get into
gear and I can't seem to get it over 40mph. So anything different? I had a new
alternator put in recently by Lexus and a radiator leak was fixed, about a
month ago.

same here.. 2008 GX. Replaced alternator 2 months ago. Last year it came on (in the Fall) and I saw on here that it was probably the gas cap. Dealer replaced it and all was good. Now, it's on again and they are saying it's some fan that's not cooling something. I think I am getting ripped off. $2115 to replace this fan. Any ideas/suggestions??

I agree it’s become a ripoff! They don’t know is the issue, find a good local mechanic and get second or third opinions. I found one and it’s been a lifesaver....the computer sensors can wreak havoc!
