What is the battery life of the 2007 Corvette? How often must you drive the car to prevent the battery from being drained?

We have 135 miles on our new Chevrolet Covette. The car has been towed twice because of a dead battery. The last time we were locked in our car on a 95 degree day. It is a good thing we had a cell phone to contact emergency service. They tell us that we have to drive it more often so that the battery will stay charged. Wish they had told us that before we purchased the car, as it was never intended to be the primary vehice. so, how often do you have to start the car?

Do you live in 200 degree heat? I've gone two weeks without starting mine with no problems.
Temperature has not gone above 90. Car is stored in garage.
Hey ! how about owner error ,You have to get used to useing everything when you lock it and you hear the horn beep its OK .There are two things that will screw you up look and make sure the interior lights go off you can set time limit on dash setup. the knob on dash is probley turned to far to the right keeping interior lights on ,take thirty seconds look thru window and watch it if it does not turn off the mirror lights are pushed up on bottom of mirror or the knob to let of steering wheel is turned too far manuaillying turning on lights.look at disk they gave you read book .If you want to sell it let me know i would like to have another one. Dealership finally found the answer to the problem. The garage door opener was on the visor, too close to the electornics. Now that the opener has been moved, no problem.
My wife and I bought our 5th Corvette six months ago, a 2007 model, and have experienced the same problem. One of our local dealers seem to think it may have something to do with a GPS system that we had installed upon purchase. They are telling us that we must at least start the vehicle every 3-4 days otherwise the GPS unit, which has to link up to determine it's cordinates every few hours, will drain the battery in a matter of a couple of days. The dealer we bought the car from says that's not the problem. The best advise they could offer us is to hook the car up to a trickle charger when not in use. The only problem with that advice is that if we happen to go on vacation and leave the car at the airport, you better make sure your vacation is a short one, because in 3-4 days your battery is going to be DEAD. At this point we are also very frustrated. I find it hard to believe that we purchased a $50K+ vehicle and it can't keep a battery charge for more than 3-4 days??? That's a sign of engineering at it's finest!! If this is a design problem with the latest Corvette's on the market, we as Vette owners need to voice our complaints and voice them LOUD!
well that sounds wierd but i have one piece of interesting wisdome for anyone who has this problem with the Z06... according to one of the GM mechanics i had a chat with the C6 Z06s (possibly the C6s as well) must be left in R (standard tranny obv) when they are shut down... otherwise the car will intentionally drain the battery as a precautionary anti-theft measure... wierd i know... and since that convo ive seen 5 Z06s in at the shop with that same issue... i cant say ive seen a standard C6 have the problem though...
