lr4 is essentially a newer model of the lr3, a few small cosmetic exterior improvements, a new dashboard and couple of other interior changes. I don't know why they have changed the name, it should still be called an lr3. They did make some great improvements with a new engine, the acceleration and road handling is far superior to the lr3, and some of the new technological gadgets are really neat. I especially like the keyless entry and keyless start features. You don't have to touch the key fob at all to get into the car or to start the car, just have to have the fob somewhere nearby. Walk up to the car and it senses the key fob, just pull open the handle and it automatically unlocks. Get inside, foot on the brake, and press the start button. Just love it, especially when the keys/fob are usually buried deep in a pocket somewhere and hard to get at. Overall, the lr4 seems to be a much tighter vehicle, quality and performance wise.
