The oil pressure sender has nothing to do with the fuel pump working or not.

I watched a video showing there was an oil sending unit wired in the circuit to the fuel pump. I suspect this is the case because I did not have power going to my fuel pump. I ran power directly from the battery to the fuel pump and the pump fired right up and recharged the lines. I was then able to start the engine. I ran it for a while and then disconnected the hot line and rewired back to original. Started right up and no problem since.
