Cheap insurance cars for a 16 year old

I am trying to find a cool sporty car or a nice
sedan, preferably awd or rwd for either, my
price range is under $15000 and under 40k
miles unless the price is cheaper then the
miles can be a bit more, also it needs to be
cheap on insurance.

Skip the sports/muscle cars and go for an old lady car with a 4 cylinder. You are probably looking at 3 grand or higher per year just for insurance. Get some quotes from online insurance companies.
