2006 Mini Cooper

I am interested in purchasing a mini
cooper(used). I found one for a great price
and great mileage.  However seller stated
that the vale body was just recently installed
on the transmission and since then has
developed a vacuum leak.  Is this a major
issue?

Thanks I am just wanting one for a play car not for an everyday car. I have a few friends that have minis and love them. Thanks for the advice and help :)
