Complicated question

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have a rather complicated question. I traded in my old (CANADIAN CAR) a
few weeks ago with a very well known dealer. during the process, I asked
them if any additional steps needed to be taken since the car is registered in
Canada. They assure me not at all and they do this all the time. there were
in a hurry to get me in the car. I made the deal and paid the rest of the
money CASE. Now a week later I am getting calls from the dealer saying
that the car I traded in needed to be converted to American and insisting that
only I CAN able do it. Also forcing me to pay all  the fees associated with that
transfer. I reminded them of conversation and they keep ignoring it they just
want me to take the car to DMV get it registered to the US and then give
them back. I want to know do I have to oblige by them or should I just ignore
their calls because none of this was the part of the deal and if it was I would
have to think twice before buying a car at this time.

ignore their calls, beleive me if the shoe was on the other foot they wouldn't do it for you. If the sale is complete and you have lost nothing to date and they say they do it all the time, then shame on them. If your broke down a week later, you think they would repair it, NO ! Enjoy your new car !

Thank you, One last thing I want to mention. They are saying if you won't going to transfer it to the US, we won't be able to sell this car at all.

This is a hard one, the dealership messed up by doing this backwards. You informed them like you should have. Technically, you should have transferred the vehicle to your current state when you moved. They never should have accepted the trade, it will cost them greatly. That's the only reason why their trying to involve you. How long ago did you purchase the car? What state are you in?

Have they did your title yet? Is it registered? If so, they can't go back.....

I am not sure what title looks like in Florida. I do have a temp license plate the car is been paid for full and delivered to me weeks ago the real license plate they told me will arrive at my home in the mail. all the paperwork has my name on it. None of my other cars have any official govt issue title or piece of paper and I bought and own them.
