Can my 2012 Chevy 1500 Crew Cab pull a 5600 LB Travel trailer safely

Without knowing how your truck is equipped I would say yes with trailer brakes. If it is a V6 then maybe not.

You'll need a V-8 motor, brakes, and trailering suspension: https://cdn.dealereprocess.net/cdn/brochures/chevrolet/2012-silverado1500.pdf TRAILER brakes: If your trailer weighs 2,000 lbs. loaded, then it must have its own adequate brakes. 1500 Conventional Trailering: Weight-carrying hitch limit: 5,000-lb. trailer with 600-lb. tongue weight.
