What is salvage title or history?

Salvage = totaled by insurance, fire, flood etc. In other words - run away!
For most cars with a salvage title it is an indication that the vehicle was flooded and has been, supposedly, refurbished. These vehicles are purchased in lots, at a very low price and then sold in the market for a profit. The seller is obligated by law to disclose when a vehicle has a salvage title/history but unfortunately, for the unsuspecting buyer, many times it does't happen that way. My advise is to stay away from vehicles with a salvage title, regardless of the price, they end up with many problems costing a lot of money to repair. Believe me, I have witnessed these situations myself.
Oh, yes, I forgot to mention the other causes for a salvage title. Look at the list from F-O-R and decide if you want to buy one of those cars....just in case.
Buy it cheap so you can afford aspirin by the case.
No offense intended to owend, but I am laughing at the aspirin answer.
