Question type: Shopping & Pricing

My daughter is starting to turn 16 and ready to buy a car!
She wants the 2016/2018 Honda Accord, is $20,000 too
much? I want a new car because it’ll last her awhile but is
it too nice for a new driver?

Good choice if you can afford it. Double check prices on Blue Book, Edmund's etc. You have to make a judgement call as to her driving abilities ;)

You should go to the NADA web site for the true value , these are the values that your insurance company uses for values In my opinion Kelly blue book is bull

16 years olds do NOT need a $20,000 car. Just my opinion.

When I was 16, I had a used 2006 Acura TSX. Cost about $4k and was just as safe as some newer cars. There is no reason for a new teen driver to have a brand new car. Have them get it when they're the ones paying for it. Perhaps after college...
