Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 alero keeps running hot.
I've replaced the radiator,the water
pump,and the thermostat.
Sometimes it runs fine, then out of
the blue the temperature gauge
pegs out in the red. It acts like it
has circulation problems. Do you
have any idea what the problem
could be?

it may have circulation problems from a leaking head gasket pumping up the cooling system little by little, creating pressure, and restricting flow, run with slightly loose rad cap to expel pressure , if so, it will consume coolant as you drive ,

Yes it is a 3.4 v6. That's the way I've been bleeding it. Thank you, I think you have solved my problem.
